DRAGONFLY INVASION

In Misquamicut Beach, Rhode Island, what would normally be a peaceful summer day was interrupted by a massive invasion of dragonflies. Hundreds of thousands of these insects swarmed the beach, catching many by surprise. According to experts, it’s possible that the dragonflies were relocating due to drought in their natural habitats, such as swamps and marshes.
Although the situation was overwhelming, the dragonflies did not harm the beachgoers, as they are harmless and pass by without causing any damage.

Over the past decades, it has been discovered that these dragonflies, specifically the Anax junius species, undertake a multigenerational migration across North America that often goes unnoticed.
Recent research has analyzed samples revealing migration patterns extending from the United States, Mexico, and the Caribbean to New England and the northern Midwest. These studies are crucial for understanding how the reduction in insect populations could alter these migratory cycles in the future.

PLANET OF THE APES: JAPAN EDITION

In this version of feudal Japan, the apes have not only developed intelligence but also mastered combat and stealth. Warrior apes wielding katanas, ninja apes disappearing into the trees, all living within a hierarchical society similar to the clan system the samurai once knew.

The battle for honor and survival breaks out between the few remaining humans and the apes, who see them as inferior beings, mere wild beasts. In this alternate Japan, the war is not just one of steel and skill, but of ancient strategies and deep-rooted traditions, where codes of honor clash with a new law imposed by the primates.

Thus begins the samurai version of "Planet of the Apes", where human warriors must fight not only for their lives but for their place in a world where humanity is no longer the dominant species.

THE BEST DOG ESCAPE SCENE IN MOVIE HISTORY

"Shaggy Dog" is a franchise that includes several movies released over the decades.

"The Shaggy Dog" (1959) is the original Disney film. The story follows a teenager named Wilby Daniels who transforms into an Old English Sheepdog due to a magical ring. In "The Shaggy D.A." (1976), the sequel, Wilby Daniels is now an adult and a lawyer, who once again transforms into a dog while trying to become a district attorney.

I’m not sure if the punch scene or the rope descent is better.

A man was attacked by his neighbor’s four pitbulls, with the neighbor being in a wheelchair and unable to do much to stop them. Luckily, the lady from the Tom and Jerry cartoons was there to save the day.
If it had been a child, it would’ve surely ended in tragedy.

BIKEJORING AND THE DANGER OF TREES

Can you imagine swapping the snow and sled for a mountain bike and solid ground? That's exactly what some adventurers have done by merging the world of mushing (dog sledding) with mountain biking. This sport, known as "bikejoring," involves one or more dogs pulling a bike instead of a sled, bringing the thrill of the sport to non-snowy terrains and adapting the experience to mountain trails and dirt paths.

Bikejoring is not only an adrenaline rush for the cyclist but also an excellent workout for the dogs, who enjoy the speed and the outdoors while working in sync with their owner. With specially designed harnesses that allow the dogs to run freely and a proper attachment system to the bike for control, this discipline has become increasingly popular among outdoor sports enthusiasts.

That being said, be extra cautious if there are trees along the route.
