Here’s Why Fans Think White Lotus Costars Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood Are Feuding After Season 3 Finale

Fans suspect there may be some trouble after paradise for White Lotus stars Walton Goggins and Aimee Lou Wood.

The pair, who star in season 3 of the popular HBO series as love interests Rick and Chelsea, respectively, have sparked feud rumors following the show’s explosive finale after eagle-eyed fans noticed that they no longer follow each other on social media.

One fan wrote on X, “walton goggins and aimee lou wood unfollowed each other on instagram” alongside a gif of Jennifer Coolidge’s character Tanya and Haley Lu Richardson’s character Portia awkwardly looking at each other.

Another person wrote on the platform, “aimee lou wood follows 5,160 people on instagram and none of them are walton goggins…”

Some White Lotus fans even noticed that Wood’s comments on Goggins' previous Instagram posts have seemingly disappeared, indicating that one of them may have gotten blocked.

Reps for Goggins and Wood did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The two actors further fueled rumors of a rift after sharing Instagram posts over the last week, reflecting on their character’s storylines in The White Lotus without tagging each other in the photos, even though they each featured the other in their post.

Goggins shared nearly a dozen photos of the pair on the show, as well as behind-the-scenes shots and snaps of them hanging out off the set in Thailand in an Instagram post. He then penned a lengthy tribute to the couple, who faced doom in the season finale.

“Rick + Chelsea. With the heaviest of hearts… To me, ours was a love story,” he wrote, before thanking show creator Mike White and Wood. 

“Thank you Mike White for your imagination, your tender heart, for the privilege of giving us the opportunity to tell it. Thank you Aimee Lou for being my partner… a journey I will never forget,” he added.

Wood also shared her own Instagram post commemorating Rick and Chelsea’s storyline in The White Lotus on Instagram by sharing a photo of her character walking on the set alongside Goggins’ character. “The perfect storm 🩷 ☯️ ♾️,” she simply captioned the photo.

However, the pair have had nothing but positive comments when discussing each other in recent interviews. When discussing Goggins missing out on the White Lotus finale event, Wood told The Hollywood Reporter that she was “sad” he missed it.

“I was sad that Walton wasn’t there because it was something that we did together but also it’s so f—--- Rick and Chelsea,” she said. “Like, of course Walton had to watch it alone and of course I had to watch it in the group because there is so much Aimee in Chelsea and so much Walton in Rick.”
